Welcome to the Image Gallery of Martin GJ Smith

I was born on 13/10/1954, in Haverfordwest in West Wales. My earliest recollection of my life-long interest in photography was the Kodak Brownie my father bought me when I was still in primary school some forty five years ago.

My first outing with my new toy was to the local agricultural show where I spent the afternoon (much to my father's amusement) photographing all the bulls on show! The resulting black and white prints resulted in much laughter in our house tempered with some advice from my father on wasting money on prints of a lot of old bulls.

My interest in photography has developed over the years and I have used a wide range of equipment from Yashica cameras, Mamiya medium-format through to the excellent Konica-Minolta 7D which I now use. The introduction of digital has undoubtedly had a huge impact on my photography, and this gallery presents some of my efforts. I hope you like the site and would welcome feedback on any of the images presented here.
